ATLANTA -- The two teams with the best records in the big leagues opened a three-game series Friday night.
That the Braves are one of those teams is no surprise. They won 104 games last year and have been to the postseason six times in the last six years.
The Guardians being the second team in this series is a shock. They lost 86 games last year, their second losing season in the last three.
But here the Guardians are at 18-7 and getting their first look at Atlanta’s Truist Park, which opened for business in 2017.
